Ancol Barat Connecting Water Channel Dredging to Complete this Week

Pademangan Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit personnel dredge Ancol Barat connecting channel on Jalan Ancol Barat III, RW 01, Ancol Urban Village, North Jakarta. The dredging is targeted to complete this week.

Pademangan Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Dewi Marlina, said the dredging is done to respond urban village's request. The dredging starts from channel in front of Al Amien Mosque up to east side or in front of Ancol Urban Village Office.

Dewi explained the dredging of 3.1 meter width channel is run along 115 meters with depth 1.3 meter.
"We deploy 16 personnel with supported tools," she added.
According to her, in dredging the channel, a truck is also deployed to transport mud sediment and rubbish. Every day, on average, personnel manage to lift 800-1000 sacks of mud sediment and rubbish.
"Totally we transported 4,500 cubic meter of sediment up to now. The dredging is targeted to complete on May 4," she continued.
Meanwhile, Ancol Urban Village Head, Bijakri Saud Maruli Manik, appreciated the personnel for dredging the channel.
"I hope the channel will flow the water smoothly and prevent inundation," he stated.
